One of the most recent additions to the world of information technology is the smart card. A PVC card with an embedded memory chip or microprocessor, the smart card provides for high security data portability in a card.

CardFocus provides a generic smart chip encoding module that interfaces with chip encoders from varying printer manufacturers. As well as alphanumeric data, CardFocus enables photos, fingerprints and signatures to be encoded on smart chips.
